Neocaridina heteropoda var. "yellow neon"
The yellow neon shrimp is a product of German and Japanese breeders with the wild species Neocaridina heteropoda, which naturally inhabits water bodies of South Asia. These shrimps are very undemanding and their content will cope even novice aquarists.
Neocaridina heteropoda var. "yellow neon" is colored bright yellow. On the back there is a bright neon stripe, due to which the shrimp and got its name. The neon stripe is the most contrasting in females, males are much paler. Females are larger than males and have a brighter color. The size of the male reaches 2.5 cm, and the female 3.5 cm.
Keep yellow neon shrimp is recommended in a group of 10-15 fish. For such a number of shrimp will be quite enough aquarium volume of 15 liters. As ground can be used almost any substrate, preferably dark colors. Against the background of dark substrate neon yellow shrimp looks the most attractive.
